Activity - activities are used to record incident actions, including requests, information and offers.
Dashboard - a screen which contains a personal activity summary
Incident - incidents are groups of related requests, offers, information, announcement, cases and ageny logs, typically associated with an event or emergency.
Incident Category - acts as a template to pre-select those agencies when the incident is created. It defines the types of agencies that should be involved in a given incident before the incident occurs.
Information - used to record information you have received that you want to share with the coordination centre for example weather warnings and updates, reports from the field (for example, 'Tree Over Road'), road blocks, relief centre locations and map annotations.
Offer - a record of a person or organisation offering material or in-kind assistance.
Request - a work order, something that needs to be actioned by an agency.
Rich Text Editor - a field within which formatted text and embedded content is enabled. Examples include the Comments field for Activities and wiki pages.
Wiki Page - web pages within MECC Central that can be easily be added or edited by users and include attached documents and embedded media
Workspace - a collaboration area secured so that only a certain group can access it. Agency workspaces are workspace for an agency.
MECC - Municipal Emergency Coordination Centre (MECC) (from the Emergency Manual Victoria EMMV) is a facility which brings together key agencies, to coordinate the provision of council and community resources during an emergency for the response and recovery effort. The MECC facilitates activities of key personnel from local and state government agencies, emergency services and others as required to assist.
MERC - Municipal Emergency Response Coordinator (from the Emergency Manual Victoria EMMV) a member of the Victoria Police appointed as emergency response co-ordinator, whose role is to co-ordinate the response to an emergency.
EMCG - the Emergency Management Control Group (from the Emergency Manual Victoria EMMV), includes the MERO, MERC and MRM the management team responsible for coordination duties such as assigning requests
