Overview of Incidents, Activities and Cases and Roles

The difference between Activities and Cases are their roles in response and recovery phases of an incident.

Activities (requests, information and offers) are strongly associated with incident response, whereas Cases (people & property) are strongly associated with incident recovery and store more detailed information related to this.

Activities and cases can be managed in parallel and added at the same time.  However they are generally added and managed by two very different groups of users and roles such that there is rarely an overlap.
